This role would be great for a Senior Process Engineer or a Process Engineer.

We are looking for an individual with experience within the water industry and preferably demonstrable experience in municipal wastewater treatment. As a Senior Process Engineer or Process Engineer within the Water Technical Team, you will support the technical and process activities across our existing municipal wastewater and industrial water operational contracts, existing Technical Services contracts and the development of new contracts in conjunction with our business development teams. The role will require travel across the UK.

The role will drive continuous improvement at our existing contracts and value engineering through innovative solutions.

What will you be doing?
  • Troubleshooting operational processes, process validation, utilising modelling tools and process calculations to predict performance, create business cases and demonstrate project potential.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences using varied methods, drafting compelling proposals and reports, and presenting confidently at all levels from technical reviews to client meetings.
  • Plan workload autonomously, managing multiple complex projects with competing deadlines while providing expert technical leadership that directly impacts business performance.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to process engineers, graduate engineers, operators and performance analysts.
  • Build Veolia\'s reputation as a \"Water Technical Expert\" by delivering innovative, cost-effective solutions, leading technical workshops and negotiations, and representing the company at industry events.
  • Embed sustainability principles into all water operations, optimising for energy, chemical usage, and resource recovery while quantifying environmental benefits to align with Veolia\'s Depollution, Decarbonizing, and Water Stewardship goals.
What are we looking for?
  • Degree in a relevant engineering or technical subject (e.g., Chemical Engineering or similar disciplines).
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrable experience in operational wastewater treatment process control and optimisation, including experience working with UK water companies.
  • Experience in applying value engineering and optimisation principles to create cost-effective and innovative solutions.
  • Organised and consistently meets project deadlines.
  • Full UK driving license and ability to travel across the UK, sometimes at short notice.
