I’m partnered with a well-established and highly respected law firm in Chatham that is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join its growing Private Client department. This position offers a varied and engaging caseload, a supportive working environment, and strong opportunities for professional development.

The Opportunity

You’ll be working within a successful, well-structured team handling a full range of private client matters, including:

  • Estate and care fees planning
  • Will drafting
  • Lasting Powers of Attorney
  • Court of Protection work
  • Trusts and trust administration
  • Probate and estate administration
  • Inheritance tax planning
  • Charity-related matters
  • Deputyships

STEP membership is desirable but not essential. The firm actively supports training and is happy to consider candidates currently studying toward STEP.

Candidate Profile

The firm is seeking a solicitor with consistent experience across wills, trusts, estates, and tax issues. You should be confident handling your own caseload with minimal supervision and able to demonstrate:

  • Strong technical competence across all areas of private client law
  • Excellent communication and client care skills
  • The ability to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines
  • A professional, organised, and proactive approach

Secretarial support will be provided.
