About the Role

This role offers the opportunity to deliver expert legal services across the full spectrum of Private Client matters. With a strong emphasis on exceptional client care, you'll manage a varied and often sensitive caseload with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, colleagues, and external professionals, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery, compliance, and client satisfaction - while contributing to the team's continued success and growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of Private Client work, including:
• Wills and estate planning
• Probate and estate administration
• Trust creation and management
• Tax advice and planning
• Elderly client support
• Court of Protection matters
• Powers of Attorney
• Provide clear, timely, and compassionate communication to clients, ensuring a consistently high standard of service.
• Meet fee-earning targets and contribute to the department's strategic objectives.
• Support colleagues and offer guidance to junior team members as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files using the firm's case management system, ensuring efficient and cost-effective processes.
• Play an active role in the development, marketing, and cross-referral initiatives of the Private Client department.
• Attend firm-wide meetings, training, and events as required.
• Ensure full compliance with the firm's internal policies and SRA professional standards.
• Be flexible and adaptable - you may occasionally be asked to support other areas, offices, or client sites as required.

Qualifications & Experience (Essential)

• Qualified Solicitor (or equivalent legal qualification)
• Evidence of ongoing professional development (CPD)
• Proven experience in Private Client work (typically 5-10 years PQE)
• Demonstrated ability to manage a varied caseload independently
• Proficient in the use of IT systems, including MS Office and case management software
