About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) to join our well-established and busy team in Midsomer Norton. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload, working with a broad range of clients, and providing high-quality legal advice and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and progress a full caseload of private client matters including:
    • Wills and estate planning
    • Probate and estate administration
    • Trusts and tax planning
    • Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters
  • Provide clear, accurate, and practical legal advice tailored to clients’ individual needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through excellent client care and communication.
  • Supervise and support junior team members where required.
  • Actively contribute to the growth and development of the department and the wider firm, including participation in networking and business development activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional standards.
Skills & Experience
  • A qualified Solicitor with at least 5 years’ PQE in Private Client work.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Wills, Probate, Trusts, Tax Planning, and related areas.
  • Proven ability to handle a busy and varied caseload independently.
  • Excellent client care skills with a professional and empathetic approach.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Commercial awareness and an interest in business development.
