Private Client Solicitor 4+ PQE, £55,000+ (DOE), Hereford.

The purpose of the role is to undertake the full spectrum of private client work e.g. Wills, Powers of Attorney, Estate Administrations and Trusts and the setting up and growth of the private client department. Skills / Qualifications / Experience
  • STEP membership as advantage, ability to explain legal matters to non-experts, previous depth experience acting as a fee earner in Wills and Probate cases.
  • Assertive in when to make decisions and when to seek guidance.
  • Investigatory approach to problem solving and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to plan and organize work activities and time.
  • Able to make sense of financial information and track working time.
  • Strong IT skills: adaptability to information systems quickly, ability to learn how to use case management systems effectively.
  • Excellent literacy skills including drafting style, attention to detail and accurate use of the English language.
  • Clear and concise communication, good listener and able to adapt information to suit audience.
  • Attendance and participation at group meetings.
  • Be effective in developing new work from existing clients and seek new clients for themselves and others.
  • Maintain and nurture an appropriate network of contacts and referrers and endeavour to promote the firm in your professional and personal life.
