Main duties of the job

Experience
  • Significant experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting
  • Experience of computerised stock control
  • Experience of staff management in a hospital pharmacy environment
  • Experience working as a member of multidisciplinary teams
Skills
  • Ability to reliably check, input and record data and to identify discrepancies
  • Good working knowledge of Windows based systems, and capable of using Microsoft Office application
  • Focused on patient care and the efficient and effective service delivery
  • Ability to communicate effectively, have a logical approach to problem solving and to form and maintain good working relationships
  • Well-developed customer relations skills
Qualifications
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC
  • Completed accuracy checking qualification or equivalent
  • Management qualification or relevant experience of managing staff
  • Knowledge of EMIS Ascribe dispensing system
