A leading defense contractor is seeking a Principal Electrical Power Engineer to design and define Electrical Power Systems. This role involves managing technical risks, authoring documentation, and guiding junior team members. Ideal candidates have a degree in Electrical Engineering, knowledge of AC/DC systems, and are chartership candidates. The position is hybrid, allowing onsite work at Barrow or Filton, and includes travel to various locations across the UK.

Location: Barrow-in-Furness or Filton – Hybrid – Barrow: 2 days onsite per fortnight; Filton: 1 day onsite per week, depending on business needs
Salary: Up to £55k (commensurate with skills and experience)

Working on the UK’s next- SSN design that incorporates technology from the UK, Australia and the United States you will be part of the Electrical Power team responsible for defining the needs of equipment, defining the system elements required to feed into the submarine design and build process, including design documentation, spatial modelling and build outputs.
