Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Principal EC&I Engineer to work in Reading with hybrid arrangements. The position requires a minimum of 10 years experience in the building services industry and at least 5 years in the Nuclear sector. Knowledge of software like AutoCAD and experience with Safety documentation are essential. Candidates must possess BPSS or SC clearance and ideally hold a UK passport. This opportunity offers a competitive hourly rate of £50-55 outside of IR35.

Principal EC&I Engineer

Reading - Hybrid - 3 days a week in office

£50-55 per hour

Essential Requirements

• 10‑15+ years' experience working as a EC&I Engineer
• 5+ years working within the Nuclear industry
• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or similar
• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, AMTECH, Dialux, Relux
• Experience in the review of supplier documentation for Safety, Security, and Building Management Systems (e.g. alarms, CCTV, access control, ventilation monitoring)
• Experience supporting commissioning phase through documentation reviews and technical input
• This is a role within the Nuclear industry so you will be required to hold BPSS or SC clearance to start this position
• The ideal candidate will need to hold a UK passport
• The ideal candidate will already hold SC or DV clearance
