Principal Developer - Quant team | C#.Net, Kafka, Event Driven / Streaming | Up to £112,000 + bonus + Benefits | Hybrid | FX trading firm

C#.NET Senior Developer is needed for an FX Trading house, as they expand the services and software they provide to their customers. The firm are going through a period of growth, and, as such are looking for a new team of C#.NET developers as they expand their product offering.

C#.NET Core Quant Team

The client is a market leader with the FX space. They have been providing services for the last 25 years and have grown year on year. The Quant Data team aims to improve the organisation’s use data by making data easier to discover, consume and publish by building several data-centric components. This includes components to store & process extremely large volumes of ticking market data, data virtualisation APIs, flexible data ingestion components, a data catalogue and multiple high-performance data repositories for structured, timeseries and unstructured data. As part of their expansion and growth, they are looking for a Principal Developer , with strengths in C#.NET Core .

Role Overview

Principal C#.NET Core, Quant Developer. In this role you will :

• Work as a Senior member of the team to develop & maintain the systems
• Lead the analysis and design phases as required
• Participate in SCRUM processes and ceremonies as part of ongoing delivery
• Be responsible for end-to-end delivery of functionality from solution design through to implementation and release
• Mentor and review C#.NET Core code of other developers
• Lead the architectural direction of the C#.NET Core Data system
• Influence the overall direction of the platform

Remuneration

This C#.net Core Principal Engineer role is paying up to £112,000 + a generous bonus + package

🚩The firm adopt a hybrid approach to work , with an expectation to be in their central London based office, 2 days per week

Tech Requirements

• Microsoft C# with .NET Core 3.1 or more recent versions
• A relational database technology (for example SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
• Very strong ANSI Standard SQL
• Asp.net Core (especially Web Api)
• Distributed & parallel programming & multithreading experience
• Automated unit test development and knowledge of IoC techniques
• Agile development (SCRUM preferred)

You will need to be proficient at a good level, with the following development techniques with previous working experience :

• Automated continuous integration pipeline, including automated deployment
• Docker containerisation
• Working with large-scale Data projects within a C#.NET environment

Ideally, you should have knowledge in some of the following technologies :

• Kafka
• Azure Dev-Ops (Team Foundation Server) for continuous integration, automated test execution and source code management (TFS GIT)
• Excel DNA
• Kubernetes
• Unstructured database technologies (for example MongoDB)
