An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed Early Career Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking primary academy in Edgware. This full-time role offers the chance to develop professionally within a well-structured and nurturing environment, ideal for those at the beginning of their teaching journey.

The Role

You will take responsibility for teaching a Year 3 class, working collaboratively with other teachers and senior leaders. Planning, assessments, and year group events are shared across the team, providing a strong network of support and collaboration.

The school is committed to professional development and offers a robust training and mentoring programme tailored to Early Career Teachers. You will receive regular coaching, peer support, and guidance from experienced colleagues to help you grow in confidence and refine your teaching practice.

You will be expected to build positive relationships with pupils, create an engaging learning environment, and manage the classroom effectively. The class will include pupils with Special Educational Needs, and you will be supported by skilled and experienced Teaching Assistants to ensure every child can thrive.

The Academy

This large all-through academy is based in Edgware, with good local transport links and a popular choice for families in the local area. Alongside their main Secondary academy they have created a smaller self-contained Primary Academy. In this specially designed building pupils have the best of both worlds with a quiet space away from the main academy to grow and develop with facilities specifically designed for younger children, but with the benefits of the resources of the secondary phase. There is a strong leadership team in place within the Primary Academy and staff and pupils enjoy a smaller, community atmosphere.
