About the School:

Our client is a primary school in Watford focused on providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment. The school has a good academic record and aims to help every child reach their potential.

The need now exists for a Primary School Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis, starting in September.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons in accordance with the primary curriculum.
  2. Differentiate teaching to ensure all students, regardless of ability, can access the curriculum and make progress.
  3. Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting a love for learning and developing social and emotional skills.
  4. Set and mark homework regularly, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
  5. Support the development of each child's academic and personal growth.
  6. Maintain effective classroom management and implement the school's behavior policies.
  7. Work closely with colleagues and leadership to ensure a consistent and cohesive approach to teaching and learning.
  8. Prepare students for key stage assessments and monitor their progress effectively.
  9. Participate in school-wide initiatives, extracurricular activities, and school events.
  10. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and welfare.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and experience in delivering effective lessons.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging, safe, and respectful learning environment.
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to inspiring students to reach their full potential.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with children, colleagues, and parents.
  • Experience using educational technology to enhance learning is desirable.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and improvement.
  • An up-to-date Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
