Job Title: Premises Assistant (Level 2)

Annual Salary: £25,941 - £28,275 (CLF Grade B)

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full‑Time, 37 hours per week, All year‑round

Provisional Start Date: As soon as possible

Your opportunity: Support all aspects of site management to ensure a safe, secure, and well‑maintained environment for all students, staff, and visitors.

We are looking for a dependable Premises Assistant to undertake a range of duties from day‑to‑day repairs to waste collection. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintain the security of the premises and its contents, including operation of fire and burglar alarms and key‑holder responsibilities.
  • Lighting, heating and cleaning of premises, including maintenance and operation of plant.
  • Provide porterage, defined handyperson duties, and other duties arising from the use of premise sharing.
  • Support the team and collaborate with the departments and students.

About you: You will demonstrate:

  • A basic understanding of health & safety.
  • Experience of carrying out planned preventative maintenance.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement through professional development, self‑evaluation, and awareness.
  • Commitment to and ability to work in a way that promotes the safety and well‑being of children and young people.
