A regional health board in Wales is seeking a Practice Development Midwife to work with midwifery and nursing staff. This role involves developing education programs for clinical service improvement and supporting staff in skills development. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Midwifery and NMC registration. The position offers a salary ranging from £48,527 to £55,532 annually and provides an opportunity to make a substantial impact on clinical practices within maternity services.
The key role of the Practice Development Midwife is working autonomously to support midwifery and nursing staff to provide a high quality clinical service to patients through ensuring they are equipped and supported with the skills to perform their role, in line with the best available evidence for practice.
The role includes the planning and organisation of an ongoing education programme for the multi‑disciplinary team including Maternity, Early Pregnancy Services and Medical Students to promote continuous learning.
