The purpose of this role is to support the GSS organisation by delivering customer networks, platforms and systems in support of the team and special customers. This is a UK‑wide role with onsite work (5 days field based/on client site).
Hours: Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours per week. You will need to be eligible to obtain DV (Mod) Clearance before starting this role and have 10+ years of UK residency.
Responsibilities
- Accountable: Has defined authority and responsibility for a significant area of work covering technical responsibilities.
- Accountable: Establishes technical objectives and delegates responsibilities.
- Leadership: Influences a significant part of own organisation and influences customers/suppliers and industry at a senior management level (e.g. around resourcing of delivery teams and technical direction of work).
- Leadership: Directs work resourcing, owns site issues and resolution of problems.
- Leadership: Performs technical coaching and mentoring.
- Power system installation: AC & DC power systems, UPS, HVAC with current electrical qualifications.
- Clerk of Works experience and history of delivering construction projects and site upgrades.
- Knowledge of Transmission Network and management platforms.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication (including strong technical writing skills), as well as presentation, facilitation, coaching and mentoring skills.
- Innovative approach to technical solutions and service quality.
