About the role:

We are recruiting an experienced Service Engineer for our Paisley depot to support depot-based and field-based operations across Scotland, including travel to locations such as Livingston, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Inverness, and Falkirk. This role is ideal for a mechanically skilled engineer with diesel engine experience aiming to develop their career.

Responsibilities:
  • Service, maintain, and repair pumps, generators, and diesel-powered equipment in depot and field environments.
  • Inspect and prepare equipment at the depot for deployment.
  • Perform major overhauls and refurbishments of end-of-life equipment.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Collaborate with the service team, hire controller, and foreman for smooth operations.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring safety and quality standards.
  • Travel to customer sites and participate in an on-call rota (1 week in 4).
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Mechanical experience with plant equipment, pumps, generators, and diesel engines.
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, an M&E related apprenticeship, or equivalent.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
