  • Deliver and collect mail to departments based on schedules.
  • Collect specimens and deliver to the laboratory on time.
  • Deliver parcels to wards according to schedules.
  • Sort outgoing mail for franking.
Job description
Responsibilities
  • Sorting of internal and external mail into pigeonholes quickly and accurately by box number or department name.
  • Delivery and collection of mail to wards and departments across the site to timed schedules in accordance with rounds lists.
  • Collection of routine specimens and delivery to appropriate laboratory to timed schedules in accordance with rounds lists.
  • Delivery of parcels and goods to wards to timed schedules in accordance with rounds lists.
  • Sorting of outgoing mail into appropriate pigeonholes/account codes ready for franking.
  • To provide an efficient, courteous, and friendly service to staff, patients, and other visitors to the postal reception, and to ensure their waiting time is kept to a minimum.

Eligibility – Student Visa

Due to Home Office immigration rules, a full time permanent vacancy cannot be filled by individuals on a Student visa. Therefore, please be advised that if you are a Student visa holder, we will not be able to offer you a full time permanent contract unless you have:

  • applied for a Graduate visa
  • or you will have successfully completed your course and have applied for a Graduate visa before the anticipated start date of your employment
  • or the Trust has agreed that they will Sponsor you as a Skilled Worker and you will complete your studies within 3 months of the anticipated start date of employment.
