Job description

Work alongside the Divisional Head and take primary responsibility for all Financial and Professional lines at the Company.

• Location: London
• Type: Permanent

Key Duties (Including but not limited to):

• Define, develop, and deliver the underwriting strategy for the Financial and Professional lines in collaboration with the Divisional Head, ensuring the annual business plan is profitable and aligned with long-term portfolio management.
• Maintain strong senior market relationships to leverage opportunities; build new global relationships to access distribution channels.
• Collaborate with Underwriting Directors and Portfolio Management to update underwriting strategies by class, reflecting current market conditions.
• Provide leadership and development to direct reports and the Casualty division; offer underwriting guidance to non-underwriting functions as needed.
• Demonstrate a proven track record of class-level portfolio management, leading a team to build a profitable portfolio of business.
• Show success in developing and executing commercially viable strategies with high standards of timely, cost-effective delivery.
• Possess a strong commercial understanding of underwriting, capable of participating in strategic discussions on portfolio structuring and management.
• Experience working within the London and Lloyd’s insurance markets.
• Knowledge and experience across multiple classes of business.
