Podiatrist

The closing date is 21 January 2026

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic band 5 Podiatrist to join a hardworking and motivated podiatry team, working in Lincolnshire. Lincolnshire offers the perfect balance of modern amenities and a relaxing lifestyle. Vibrant nightlife and high street shopping contrast with rural countryside and unspoilt coastline. There are excellent direct rail links to London, Nottingham and Leicester with access to all major road networks.

The Podiatry service acts as a single point of contact triaging all foot referrals in Lincolnshire working seamlessly with the Multidisciplinary Diabetic foot clinic in secondary care. You will have the opportunity to work from a variety of clinic settings including GP surgeries, health clinics, and shadowing Multidisciplinary Diabetic foot clinics at four hospital settings across the county.

Main duties of the job

As a service we are passionate that our unique specialist skills as Podiatrists are concentrated on the high risk Podiatric Population which require the specific input of a Podiatrist therefore the service does not provide ongoing routine nail and foot care. The service provides Podiatric treatment including wound management, diabetes, biomechanics, nail surgery and new patient assessments. You will be offered the opportunity to initially shadow in all these areas, when a B6 post becomes available you will be supported to apply. Consultations are provided face to face, telephone and video consultation. We are looking for a person who not only has excellent clinical and diagnostic skills, a positive mental attitude and is flexible hard-working and adaptable to change and be willing to challenge the traditional views of Podiatry.

About us

Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust is in the top 25 per cent of all community trusts for overall staff engagement in the 2021 NHS National Staff Survey.

At LCHS, we know diversity fosters creativity and innovation. We are committed to equality of opportunity, to being fair and inclusive, and to being a place where all belong. We therefore particularly encourage applications from candidates who are likely to be underrepresented in LCHS' workforce.

LCHS recognises the increasing demand for more flexibility in working practices in order to accommodate the personal goals and commitments that employees experience at different stages during their working lives. Flexible working opportunities such as part-time working, compressed hours, job shares, and hybrid working models can help staff to balance their personal and work commitments. Arrangements can be put in place if it can be shown that the needs of the individual can be balanced with those of the service and the impact on other team members, enabling the Trust to recruit and retain skilled staff, raise staff morale, reduce absenteeism and respond to changing service needs more effectively.

We are an ambassador of a learning culture that will support the right individual to progress in their chosen career through an 'earn while you learn' apprenticeship programme. Visit our Learning and Development page to find out more.
