A leading maintenance service provider in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated individual to join its maintenance team. The role involves performing plumbing and general maintenance tasks while ensuring safety and professionalism at all times. Candidates should possess NVQ Level 2 in plumbing and have experience in multi-disciplinary maintenance. Benefits include high street discounts, a cycle-to-work scheme, and opportunities for career growth within a supportive environment.
Join Mitie's dedicated maintenance team and play a vital role in delivering high-quality support across the Winfrith site. This position is crucial for ensuring contractual obligations are met through effective and safe maintenance practices. A significant part of the role involves plumbing and general site maintenance, so a plumbing qualification is necessary. Please note, a DBS check is required prior to starting, and candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.
As part of your responsibilities, you will carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks in line with contractual requirements across the site, ensuring job cards and PDA entries are completed accurately. You'll also be involved in new works and planned or responsive maintenance on various plant and systems, including plumbing services. This includes installing pumps, valves, and pipework, as well as maintaining plant equipment.
You will act upon Legionella risk assessments and implement control measures such as flushing systems, taking tap temperatures, and performing de-scaling routines. Training will be provided for these tasks. Responding to reactive maintenance requests within agreed timeframes is essential, and all documentation must be completed promptly.
Safety and professionalism are key in this role. You must adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as the client's safety rules. A strong health and safety mindset is essential. You'll need to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, maintaining a clean, safe, and secure work environment. Ad-hoc duties may be required during your shift, and you'll be expected to understand and contribute to risk assessments and method statements. Completing health and safety hazard reports is also part of the role to help improve standards.
A van will be provided, and it must be kept in good condition with weekly inspections.
