A facilities management company has a permanent opportunity for a Plumber at HMP Hewell in Redditch, UK. The role involves conducting maintenance tasks such as fault finding and inspections to ensure safety standards. Applicants should ideally have NVQ level 3 qualifications in Plumbing and Heating, with a focus on plumbing maintenance experience. A full driving licence is necessary, and applicants may also need Legionella Control (L8) certification. Standard working hours are 39 hours per week.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Plumber to join our Ministry of Justice (MoJ) account in HMP Hewell, B97 6QQ this role is based on-site.
At Amey, we’re supporting our justice client, His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) by providing them with safe, clean and efficient prisons. By using our facilities management expertise, we help keep 60 secure premises across England and Wales running smoothly.
Plumber plays an important part in ensuring the planned and reactive maintenance work within the prisons is carried out in a safe, compliant and timely manner.
The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week.
What makes this role unique is you will ensure all works are carried out to the highest safety standards and to the agreed method statements. Prison Security Clearance will be required (Amey will support you through this process).
It would be desirable if you have Legionella Control (L8) and experience in a commercial environment to help you hit the ground running, although this is not essential as we will provide you with the required development you need to bring you up to speed.
