With offices in County Antrim and Fermanagh, our client is a well established engineering business currently seeking a Plant Maintenance Supervisor to join their growing team.

The post holder will work as part of a team, coordinating the maintenance and repair of all plant. The role involves daily communications with plant maintenance providers as well as Site & Factory managers.

The successful candidate can be based in either the Co Fermanagh or Co Antrim office, training will be provided on company specific systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure preventative & reactive plant maintenance is coordinated to best suit the work pattern across multiple sites
  • Authorisation of monthly plant repair costs including damage charges from external companies
  • Provide guidance to the support staff tasked with generating the maintenance records and purchase orders for repairs.
  • Quarterly review of plant profitability, utilisation, supplier performance, highlighting any concerns.
  • Provide reports as necessary to senior management as we strive to bring about a refresh plan and actively seek to reduce repair cost.
  • Assist with the purchase and disposal of plant
  • Forge relationships across multiple factories (some travel required) and build knowledge of operations and provide confidence to those tasked with operating the plant.

Criteria:

  • Previous construction or plant hire industry experience
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to prioritise workload
  • Ability to work as part of a team and also take the lead as necessary
  • Experience of various IT systems, including Microsoft excel
  • Knowledge of LOLER regulations

Salary is in the region of £26-34k dependant upon experience.
