About this Role:

We have an exciting opportunity to work on a large major civil engineering project for a piling contractor on a £100m package of works. This contractor has been appointed to the major civil engineering project on a joint venture basis. The project is well underway with planners and designers, and will shortly be starting on-site. We are seeking to recruit the right Plant & Office Manager to join the team for this project. The successful candidate will have a proven track record working with large civil schemes, with experience in heavy civils, tunnelling, earthworks, highways, or rail infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage a portfolio of projects and coordinate project stakeholders.
  2. Handle key finance and project processes such as requisitions, GRN orders, and reporting on material, resource, and plant orders.
  3. Support project and site managers with labour processes, including timesheet collection, coding, and overtime requests.
  4. Run weekly management order reports, review them, and host review meetings with the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor to determine necessary interventions on project costs.
  5. Manage plant operations daily, ensuring optimal performance in accordance with licensing and health and safety regulations.
