Plant Technician

Swindon

40 hours a week

Your Role

At Rygor Plant we are looking for an experienced Plant Technician who also has HGV experience and relevant qualifications.

Responsibilities
  • Perform major and minor repairs to plant machinery and heavy goods vehicles, trailers and other vehicles as required.
  • Carry out PDI works and attachment set‑up on plant machinery.
  • Mobile repair and maintenance of plant machinery.
  • Perform regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services according to machine hrs and schedules.
  • Maintain inventory in the service vehicle and keep it clean from oil spills and dust.
  • Work with other departments, including the sales team to ensure a quality and reliable service level is provided to customers.
  • Help diagnose and plan repairs for machines and vehicles.
  • Maintain records of machines and vehicles that have been repaired or handled.
  • Complete relevant documentation and paperwork as required and provide warranty claims according to manufacturer requirements or escalating them to higher management.
  • Provide in‑house training to recruits and trainees as required.
  • Carry out your role with quality, compliance and health and safety always at the forefront of what you do.
Qualifications
  • Industry qualifications for both HGV repair and maintenance and plant machinery repair and maintenance to a minimum of Level 3.
  • Relevant licenses to drive, test and use HGVs and plant machinery.
  • Previous working experience as a plant and HGV technician with a strong technical background.
  • Computer literate and confident using technology.
