Position

Position Title: Planning and Logistics Administrator

Location: Paneltex Ltd, Somerden Road, Hull, HU9 5PE

Reporting to: Planning & Logistics Supervisor

Hours of work: 40 hours per week – Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 17:00 and Friday 08:00 to 14:00

Salary: From £12.50 per hour/26K per annum

Job Overview

As a Planning and Logistics Administrator within the Planning Department, you will play a vital role in supporting the Planning/Logistics team in achieving their targets and maintaining smooth operations within the department.

Key Duties And Responsibilities
  • Customer Support: Provide excellent customer service by responding to enquiries via phone, email and in person, assisting drivers & contractors onsite with any queries.
  • Data Management: Maintaining and updating customer spreadsheets, Google Docs, using the in-house computer systems to update records, upload and download documents.
  • Documentation: Assist in preparing planning schedules, booking in contractors/3rd party work, creating documentation for the internal logistics team, creating charts & graphs within Excel as required.
  • Training and Development: Participate actively in training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge of planning processes, in house procedures. Gain a knowledge and understanding of Customer products.
  • Teamwork: Working alongside the Planning supervisor and logistics drivers to ensure the department runs smoothly.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies, particularly regarding data protection and confidentiality. Be able to check the functionality of each vehicle before it leaves site.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute ideas to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the planning and logistics department.
  • Be familiar with the company's Health and Safety Policies and in particular with your responsibilities.
  • Comply with all relevant internal rules, policies and procedures, included in the company handbook.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Self-motivated, confident, friendly and engaging personality.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of Google Sheets (Training will be given).
  • A proactive and adaptable mindset, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being capable of working independently when necessary.
  • Interest in the automotive industry and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
  • Effective communication includes speaking, writing, active listening and taking instructions.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise workload in order to meet deadlines.
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety.
  • Excellent work ethic and team player.
  • Excellent timekeeping and attendance.
  • Flexible approach to working additional hours when required.
  • Driving Licence (advantageous).
