The role

You’ll provide technical expertise in pipeline engineering and integrity, supporting high‑pressure cross‑country liquid and gas pipelines across North‑West Europe. The role involves inspection planning, data analysis, fitness‑for‑service assessments, and developing remediation strategies to ensure regulatory and safety compliance.

Key responsibilities
  • Support pipeline inspection, integrity and repair programmes (ILI, defect assessment, remediation)
  • Analyse inspection data and report on pipeline fitness‑for‑service
  • Ensure compliance with UK and international pipeline safety standards
  • Develop integrity plans, procedures, KPIs and technical documentation
  • Support audits, incident investigations, emergency preparedness and CAPEX/OPEX planning
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, projects, HSE and legal teams
About you
  • Degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Experience in pipeline integrity within oil & gas or energy infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of PSR 1996, PSSR 2000, PD 8010, ASME/API fitness‑for‑service codes
  • Experience working on COMAH / Major Accident Hazard sites
  • Confident communicator with strong analytical skills
