Job Title: Rehabilitation Practitioner - Musculoskeletal Out-patients
Band: 4
Hours of Work (p/w): 37.5 hours
Service Centre/Directorate: Therapies
Base: St George's Hospital, but the post holder may be required to work at any of the Trust's sites.
Accountable to: Operational Manager/ Service Manager
Reports to: An assigned Senior band 6 or Band 7 physiotherapist as line manager for supervision
Responsible for: The rehabilitation practitioner will work under guidance of qualified physiotherapists, to undertake assessment and management of selected patients within St George's Healthcare NHS Trust and carry out duties supporting the smooth functioning of the service
Key working relationships: Patients, supervising physiotherapist, clinical team leads, administrative staff, referring clinicians, families / carers, GP's, community services, statutory and voluntary agencies, and MDT colleagues.

Their main site, St George's Hospital in Tooting - one of the country's principal teaching hospitals - is shared with St George's, University of London, which trains medical students and carries out advanced medical research. As well as acute hospital services, they provide a wide variety of specialist care and a full range of community services to patients of all ages following integration with Community Services Wandsworth in 2010. A large number of services, such as cardiothoracic medicine and surgery, neurosciences and renal transplantation, also cover significant populations from Surrey and Sussex, totalling around 3.5 million people. Other services treat patients from all over the country, such as family HIV care and bone marrow transplantation for non-cancer diseases.
