Job Summary

Are you an organized and friendly individual with a passion for providing excellent customer service? Scott Road Medical Centre is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our innovative and collaborative team. The ideal candidate will possess a BTEC or NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent, have a good clinical knowledge base, and demonstrate the ability to work effectively within a busy GP practice. Previous GP practice experience is desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Duties: Maintain and update patient records accurately.
  • Clinical Collaboration: Work closely with the Clinical Pharmacist to provide high-quality care.
  • Patient Interaction: Offer healthcare advice and services to patients.
  • Medication Queries: Answer questions related to medication and treatment.
  • Specialist Support: Process specialist treatment letters and support patients to maximize the benefits of their medication with minimal adverse effects.
  • Customer Service: Deliver courteous and effective service to all patients.
About Scott Road Medical Centre

Scott Road Medical Centre is a friendly, single-site training practice serving over 11,000 patients. Located in historic Selby, we cater to both town center and rural village residents. Our practice is part of the Vale of York Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Selby Town Primary Care Network (PCN). Our well-established PCN has played a pivotal role in pandemic response and vaccination efforts. Our clinical team includes 5 GP Partners, 3 Salaried GPs, a Clinical Pharmacist, an ANP, and a skilled advanced nursing team, all supported by a robust management structure.
