Job description

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, self‑motivated and with good communication and interpersonal skills to join our Outpatient Pharmacy Team at Yeovil District Hospital. You will be working on Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 9am - 6pm.

Main duties of the job

As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day running of our dispensary. You'll tailor conversations with every customer to help them feel informed and confident about their healthcare needs, while maintaining a professional and organised environment.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Dispensing outpatient and blister pack prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
  • Managing stock, including rotation and ordering, and liaising with procurement teams.
  • Processing private prescriptions and handling associated documentation.
  • Supporting the training of new pharmacy assistants.
  • Ensuring compliance with SSL policies and standard operating procedures.
