Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed and motivated individual to join our busy and dynamic pharmacy team as a Pharmacy Dispensary Assistant. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the safe and effective running of our dispensary. You will be responsible for supervising and training other dispensary assistants, acting as a positive role model, and ensuring the smooth delivery of day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Lead Pharmacy Technician in the management of the dispensary assistants.
  • Supervise and train pharmacy assistants in reception, receipt and storage of stock, labelling and dispensing of medication.
  • Supervise and delegate duties of assistants and their workloads.
  • Manage sickness, absence and under-performance of assistants.
  • Review and update relevant procedures.
Key requirements / Qualifications
  • Previous experience in labelling and dispensing medication (essential)
  • Good IT and computer literacy skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Enthusiasm for supporting colleagues through training and supervision
