Job description
Overview of the role

We are looking for an experienced Pharmacist Manager to lead the team and make a difference at our pharmacy in Gilesgate in Durham.

This community pharmacy is commutable from County Durham & Sunderland and is located next to a surgery. It has a great relationship with the local GP surgery/health centre.

How our pharmacy makes a difference
  • It dispenses 1,800 items a month/week,
  • It provides a wide range of services including: Pharmacy First, Contraceptive, Vaccinations, private services, NMS, BPS, ABPM's EHC & Weight Management
  • It dispenses 100 community blisters, which are dispensed from our central hub.

This pharmacy is open 08:30 until 18:00, Monday - Friday. The dynamic team at this pharmacy is comprised of 4 team members (including 1 technician).

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate must possess an MPharm degree or equivalent and management experience is required for this opportunity.

You’ll be focussed on leading your team to deliver the best community pharmacy experience for your patients and customers.

You’ll be required to have your GPhC registration upon your start date.

You’ll be supported in your role by an Area Operations Manager and a Regional Operations Manager, with regular structured pharmacy visits.

We have invested in new technologies for our pharmacies including a new PMR system and centralised dispensing to allow you to focus on providing quality care and services to our customers.

We are focussed on mental health and wellbeing which is why we’ve put all our field managers through the Mental Health Awareness course to raise awareness and enable a greater level of support when working in our pharmacies.
