We are looking for a proactive and experienced pharmacist to support the Pharmacy Manager and lead daily operations at Kings College Hospital London’s outpatient pharmacy. Acting as the Responsible Pharmacist, you will ensure the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of pharmacy services in line with national and local standards. You will provide leadership to support staff, foster strong relationships with prescribers, and collaborate with clinical teams to optimise medicines management and patient care. The role includes fulfilling statutory responsibilities set by the General Pharmaceutical Council and Department of Health, contributing to service development, and enhancing business performance. You will work closely with the Superintendent Pharmacist and Pharmacy Manager to minimise locum use and support the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred services.
We are seeking a pharmacist with strong leadership and operational management skills to support the delivery of high-quality outpatient pharmacy services. You will oversee staff training, development, and performance, ensuring a patient-focused approach and compliance with GPhC standards. The role includes supervising pharmacy operations, maintaining legal and professional records, and managing controlled drugs safely. Youll contribute to medicines management, cost-effective prescribing, and service improvement initiatives. Working collaboratively with prescribers and clinical teams, youll help optimise patient care and ensure efficient use of resources. Additional responsibilities include maintaining SOPs, supporting audits, ensuring safe storage and disposal of medicines, and contributing to the development of retail services. Youll also help maintain a professional pharmacy environment and promote extended roles for technicians and the use of technology.

Salary: £54,150 - £60,900 + up to 12% annual bonus (Depending on experience)

Shift Pattern: Based at Kings College Hospital London. Our opening times are Monday - Friday 8am - 9pm, Weekends and Bank Holidays 9am - 5pm. Working hours are 37.5 hours per week to meet the needs of the Business on a rota basis.
