Job Description

Job Purpose and work duties

Job purpose: To assist 61 y/o lady with the day‑to‑day activities enabling myself, as the employer, to maintain an independent and fulfilling life that meets my chosen lifestyle.

DBS requirement: The role involves personal care.

Personality: We are looking for someone with a bubbly and positive personality.

Community support: The individual likes to be taken out in the community at least three times per week, including parks and other local activities.

Appointments: Assistance is required for attending appointments, such as GP visits, hairdressers, and other essential outings.

Hours: The position covers 2 days per week, 6 hours per session, with flexibility where possible.

Hours and rate of pay

12 hours per week at £12.40 per hour, 2 days a week for 6 hours per session can be flexible on days.

Work Duties may include:

• Support with day planning
• Social support including clothes shopping, visiting friends, going for food
• Within the home
• Community support: The individual likes to be taken out in the community at least three times per week, including parks and other local activities
• Ensuring the employer's home is hygienic and safe

Other requirements

• Working in a safe way and highlighting health and safety concerns
• Assisting with management of employer's health risks
• Establish and maintain effective communication
• Maintaining confidentiality

Location

Within the employer's home in the Downend area of Bristol.
