Job ref. Personal Assistant - Carer

I am 32-year-old female with Long covid. I deal with fatigue, brain fog and have limited mobility as I use walking aid. I love to chat, have a joke and engage in my interests, such as anime, animals, rock music, and going out to cafes. It would be great if the Personal Assistant (PA) shared these or had similar interests.

Hours and rate of Pay

• I need support for 3 hours per week during the day mainly on a Wednesday but can change on odd days due to circumstances.
• Rate of pay to be discussed at interview but will be no less than £12.21 per hour.
• Hours of work can be flexible to meet both our needs and can work around school hours.
• Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required but will be paid for by the local authority.

What you would be doing

• Support with everyday domestic tasks, dog walking, washing/bathing and dressing.
• Accompany me with socialising and recreational outings in the community with pushing a wheelchair.
• Accompany on medical appointments.
• Prompting with medication management.
• Discuss and resolve problems as they arise.
• Maintain daily written records and undertake any duties which may be reasonably allocated and fall within the scope and responsibility of the role.
• Needs may vary on a daily basis; therefore hours, duties and tasks may alter on a weekly basis but will be discussed in advance.

I would like someone who is relaxed, approachable and considerate, and will give me the time I need to get used to us working together. Someone who is easy to talk to and I can have a laugh with. You should have a genuine interest in the provision of high‑quality care, be able to work flexible hours and be a good communicator and possess the motivation to develop trust and understanding within the role. Be hardworking, reliable, committed, honest, and trustworthy with a cheerful sense of humour.

Driver preferred, with full clean license and business insurance, or someone confident in using public transport and able to guide another person on public transport.
