The Role

Hours

• Mon: 08:45 – 16:00
• Tues: 09:00 – 15:00
• Thurs: 08:45 – 16:00
• Fri: 09:00 – 16:00

PA Tasks

• Personal care
• Assist District Nurse's with bowel care
• Nutritional needs (prepping food and feeding)
• Help with IT tasks (knowledgeable in this area would be appreciated)
• Take to appointments
• Help with paying bills
• Look into quotes for insurance
• Domestic tasks: washing, ironing and maintaining a habitable home
• Help with garden support during summer
• Shopping calls, online purchases
• Record keeping/filing
• Community activities and take to functions

Mobility

Client requires hoisting support using a ceiling hoist.

Applicant must be able to drive the client's mobility vehicle. A full clean driving licence is required, and applicant must be at least 25 years old for insurance purposes.

Client Interests & Hobbies

Client has a good sense of humour and enjoys looking into family history, being outdoors, visiting family, reading (unable to turn pages in books), and watching films.

Client Diagnosis

Multiple sclerosis.

Work Arrangement

PA required to work on a 1:1 basis.

Qualifications

Previous care experience, especially around catheter care, is desired but not essential. Ideal for someone who is responsible, reliable, patient, and respectful of others' privacy, dignity, values, and beliefs. Suitable for individuals returning to work after caring for a relative or friend.
