Qualifications

  • Expérience en santé mentale chez les adultes, de préférence en milieu aigu ou judiciaire.
  • Compréhension solide de la loi sur la santé mentale.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Permanent Occupational Therapist – Private Hospital
Location: Wakefield
Pay Rate: £38,000 per annum

About the Role:

The Priory Group is looking for a registered Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide rehabilitation and recovery for men with mental health issues and support those with neuro-cognitive disorders, including dementia and challenging behaviors.

What will your responsibilities be?

In this role, you will provide rehabilitation and recovery support to men experiencing mental health challenges, as well as those with neuro-cognitive disorders such as dementia and behaviours that challenge. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to assess needs, develop care plans, and promote independence and well-being. This includes safeguarding responsibilities, emotional support, and helping individuals access community resources. The role also involves maintaining accurate records and contributing to service improvement through reflective practice and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • HCPC registration and a degree-level qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • Proven experience in adult mental health, ideally within acute or forensic settings
  • Strong understanding of the Mental Health Act and risk assessment frameworks
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of an MDT
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Experience in delivering therapeutic interventions and group work in secure environments is highly desirable
