A regional healthcare provider in the UK is seeking an experienced Mental Health Nurse to work within the Community Perinatal Mental Health Team. The role entails delivering comprehensive care to mothers experiencing perinatal mental health issues, ensuring effective communication with healthcare professionals, and supervising junior staff. Applicants must have strong communication skills, experience with perinatal illnesses, and the ability to manage complex cases. The position requires a valid UK driving license, with responsibilities primarily in the Newark and Mansfield areas.
The Mental Health division of Nottinghamshire Healthcare Foundation Trust comprises Adult Mental Health, Mental Health Services for Older People and Specialist Services. More than 2,800 staff provide healthcare across the region. The Community Perinatal Mental Health Team, part of Specialist Services, co‑located with Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services on the Hopewood site, delivers assessment and treatment to women with perinatal mental health needs. The team serves the City and County of Nottinghamshire and Bassetlaw, with clinics across the area. This position will operate mainly in the Newark and Mansfield areas.
Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment: £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced). The cost will be deducted over the first 2 months of employment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service; an annual fee of £16 per year applies.
