Job description
Overview

A day in the life of a People Partner (HR Business Partner) is fast paced and ever changing. A People Partner works on all aspects of the colleague lifecycle across topics such as strategic workforce planning, recruitment, culture, organisation design, talent management, reward, learning & development, people risk, and more. We spend a lot of time talking to business leaders, managers, and our HR colleagues; everything we do is about connecting and building positive relationships. Group COO is made up of over 20,000 colleagues. The work of these colleagues underpins how the whole Group runs, changes, and innovates; supported by our Platform operating model which continues to evolve and mature. We support several specialist teams, including Group Sourcing & Supplier Management, the Chief Technology Office, Chief Security Office, Group Payments, and the Chief Data & Analytics Office. These teams are critical to supporting the broader Group to make our business strategy a success. With the amount of change across the Group, it is an exciting part of the organisation to work in, where no two days will be the same. As one of our People Partners, you have the outstanding opportunity to be a core member of a senior leadership team, working with both our business leaders and our colleagues in HR and the wider Group to craft and deliver the People agenda. Our team is kind, encouraging and committed to making each other successful, whilst delivering at pace and learning together as we go. We may be biased, but we believe it is a wonderful team to be a part of!

Responsibilities
  • Build strong and trusted relationships with leaders in the Group COO Executive team and act as their People Partner (HRBP), working with HR colleagues to deliver against their requirements and the broader Group People priorities.
  • Develop the business area people strategy in line with the Group People Plan and the Group COO Culture plan, driving our Group purpose and values to enable the business to succeed.
  • Grow capability within the business area to ensure colleagues have the skills of the future, whilst investing in the growth of the leadership team to drive effectiveness and high performance.
  • Support the leadership teams to land and embed People initiatives, products, and policy changes.
  • Support the creation of an operating model that increases pace and reduces friction.
  • Provide support and coaching to leaders and managers, particularly in relation to building high performing leadership teams and when navigating through complex colleague cases.
  • Excellent relationship management, influencing and coaching, developing trust through integrity and authenticity.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to see the bigger picture, story tell and join the dots.
  • Innovative and good at problem solving.
  • Collaborative team member.
  • Ability to prioritise and focus on what matters.
  • Ability to interrogate and analyse multiple data sources to inform planning and decisions.
  • Organisational and industry awareness with a passion for bringing the outside in.
  • Expertise in core HR disciplines, ideally within a Technology domain - and a track record of leadership within very senior teams.
Qualifications / Capabilities

From building a truly sustainable business to creating a place where people love to work, we need colleagues who are up for the challenge of our bold ambitions. We are looking for someone who can contribute to making change happen, working with business leaders and HR colleagues to deliver the People agenda and drive a positive culture across a large organisation.

Diversity, Inclusion & Workplace

We keep your data safe. So, we'll only ever ask you to provide confidential or sensitive information once you have formally been invited along to an interview or accepted a verbal offer to join us which is when we run our background checks. We'll always explain what we need and why, with any request coming from a trusted Lloyds Banking Group person. We're focused on creating a values-led culture and are committed to building a workforce which reflects the diversity of the customers and communities we serve. Together we're building a truly inclusive workplace where all of our colleagues have the opportunity to make a real difference.

Our focus is to ensure we're inclusive every day, building an organisation that reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms. We're committed to creating a consciously inclusive workplace where our colleagues can be themselves, thrive and perform at their best. We were one of the first major organisations to set goals on diversity in senior roles, create a menopause health package, and a dedicated Working with Cancer Initiative. As an inclusive employer, we offer Workplace Adjustments for colleagues with a disability (which may include long-term health and neurodivergent conditions) where it is reasonable to do so. This could include flexibility with regards to office attendance, location, and working pattern. We also provide adjustments that are reasonable throughout the recruitment process to reduce or remove barriers for applicants with a disability, long-term health condition or neurodivergent condition. If you'd like an adjustment to the recruitment process just let us know.
