TeacherActive is proud to partner with a fantastic SEND provision based in Assington. The school follows a varied curriculum to suit the needs of the young people. Underpinning this, is the consistent teaching of people skills, and guidance to assist children develop their social, emotional, and personal abilities. The school is looking to take on a permanent SEND Maths Teacher from ASAP on a full-time basis. The successful SEND teacher will be working directly with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, whose ages range from yrs. Most of the young people are diagnosed with either Autism / ASD, Learning Difficulties / LD or Attention Deficit Disorder / ADD.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, adapting delivery for varied needs.
• Support students who have ASD, SLD, PMLD, ADD, ADHD through suitable teaching strategies.
• Contribute to the delivery of an active, engaging curriculum and help develop social, emotional and personal skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues and specialists to implement therapeutic approaches as appropriate.
