Qualifications

• Proactive and skilled Bus/PSV Mechanic sought to join the team.
• Previous experience on buses or large passenger vehicles is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair the fleet of buses to DVSA and Stagecoach standards.
• Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
• Conduct routine inspections and servicing.

Circa £45700 per annum, 40hrs per week, range of shifts including early, middle and late shifts

Based at our Basingstoke depot, located at Rankine Road, Basingstoke

Pay rate of circa £45700 per annum

Shift pattern of 5 days in 7, on a rotating shift pattern.

We’re looking for a proactive and skilled Bus/PSV Mechanic to join our friendly team at Stagecoach Basingstoke. Whether you’re from a truck, HGV, automotive, plant, or rail background, this is your chance to work on a modern and varied fleet, including hybrid and electric vehicles, while helping to train the next generation of engineers.

What you’ll be doing

• Maintaining and repairing our fleet of buses to DVSA and Stagecoach safety standards
• Diagnosing and fixing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
• Carrying out routine inspections, servicing, and occasional roadside repairs
• Supporting apprentices by sharing your knowledge and experience
• Working safely and efficiently as part of a collaborative depot team

What we’re looking for

• NVQ Level 3 in HGV or PSV Maintenance (or equivalent)
• Hands-on experience working on commercial or specialist vehicles
• A safety-first attitude and strong attention to detail
• A team player with good communication skills
• Previous experience working on buses or large passenger vehicles (desirable)
