A healthcare organization in Bushey is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist with independent prescribing qualifications to support their GP team. Responsibilities include managing prescriptions and providing clinical advice. Ideal candidates will have experience in a GP practice and be proficient in chronic disease management. This full-time role offers the chance to work within a supportive primary care setting.
We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacist with independent prescribing to join our team of pharmacists and other health care professionals. They need to have an IP qualification and we are ideally looking for someone to support the GP team with their routine EPS workload using EMIS. Ideally this would be working from one our surgeries and have experience working within a GP Practice.
You will be a qualified independent prescriber.
Hours: Full time Hours
Salary: Dependant on experience
You will provide primary support to General Practice staff with regards to prescription and medication queries. You will help support the repeat prescription system (including EPS), deal with acute prescription requests, structured medication reviews and medicines reconciliation on transfer of care. You will support systems for safer prescribing and provide expertise in clinical medicines advice needs of patients in our single practice PCN. You could have expertise in a chronic disease area eg diabetes or asthma management and could run chronic disease clinics.

We have a practice list size approximately 33,000 patients and are based over 4 surgery sites within 15 minutes drive of each other, serving the population of Bushey and Watford. We are <5 minutes drive from Junction 5 of the M1. We are a single practice Primary Care Network and a well-established training practice, respected for our collaborative working, training, teaching, and personal development within our team.

You will have qualified from an approved 18-month training pathway or equivalent and be able to practice and prescribe safely and effectively in a primary care setting (for example, the CPPE Clinical Pharmacist training pathways.You will be a qualified prescriber.
You will be a qualified independent prescriber.
Hours: We are looking for a clinical pharmacist to work full time hours
