Payroll Manager Central London (6 Month Fixed-Term Contract) Hybrid/Flexible Working Free Rail Card Up To £50K

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage four-weekly payroll cycles with a focus on accuracy and validation.
  • Be the main point of contact for payroll queries from employees and line managers.
  • Perform gross-to-net calculations, including statutory payments (SMP, SSP, etc.).
  • Act as the subject matter expert on payroll legislation and compliance.
  • Maintain delegated authority protocols and specimen signature lists.
  • Oversee the relationship with Midland HR (iTrent), ensuring system efficiency.
  • Work closely with HR on pay awards, harmonisation, bonuses, and organisational changes.
  • Lead the tax year-end process, including P11D production.
  • Calculate and process maternity and paternity pay.
  • Liaise with HMRC to resolve queries and ensure timely PAYE/NI payments.
  • Prepare weekly payroll cashflows for Treasury and highlight variances.
  • Submit monthly payroll data to the Office for National Statistics.
  • Provide timely reporting to HR, Finance, and management.
  • Notify Treasury of AVC payments for RPMI.
  • Prepare the annual Gender Pay Report.
  • Manage bonus payments and pay uplifts across staff grades.
