Responsibilities

  • Support the payroll team in processing a 4-weekly payroll cycle.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of payroll processes and routines.
  • Oversee and check key areas of payroll activity for accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and input data into the payroll system.
  • Produce payroll reports as required.
  • Resolve payroll queries while delivering excellent customer service.
  • Support business projects by providing guidance on payroll processes.
  • Carry out general administrative and office duties as needed.

Job description

Due to continued growth and ongoing success, are seeking a dynamic Payroll Clerk to join a Head Office team. In this role, you will support the day-to-day payroll operations, working closely with colleagues within the payroll department and reporting to the Payroll Manager and Assistant Payroll Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the payroll team in processing a 4-weekly payroll cycle.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of payroll processes and routines for both hourly paid and salaried employees.
  • Oversee and check key areas of payroll activity to ensure accuracy and compliance, including new starters, promotions, and leavers.
  • Prepare and input data into the payroll system.
  • Produce payroll reports as required.
  • Resolve payroll queries while delivering excellent customer service.
  • Support business projects by providing guidance on payroll processes and legislative requirements.
  • Carry out general administrative and office duties as needed.
Person Specification
  • Strong IT skills and confidence using computer systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with colleagues at all levels.
