Are you a talented, creative Pastry Chef ready to take the sweet spotlight in one of Oxfordshire's most talked-about dining destinations?

The George at Upton has transformed into a stylish blend of traditional charm and contemporary flair after a major £300,000+ refurbishment. We're a buzzing, upmarket pub, restaurant, and café with beautiful gardens, a welcoming vibe, and a reputation for high-quality British cuisine that draws locals, visitors, wedding parties, and food lovers from near and far.

We already know our puddings turn heads — now we're looking for a passionate Pastry Chef to own the dessert section and make every sweet finish unforgettable.

What we're looking for:
  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or strong Pastry Chef de Partie background
  • Creativity with seasonal, high-quality ingredients — from elegant plated desserts to irresistible cakes, pastries & afternoon treats for our busy café
  • Ability to deliver consistency across restaurant fine dining, Sunday lunches, and casual café offerings
  • Team player who thrives in a friendly, fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Passion for British classics with modern twists
