Job summary

A recruitment firm is looking for a Senior HR Advisor to work part-time, 22.5 hours per week. You will provide HR policy advice, manage employee relations, and support recruitment processes. Ideal candidates will possess experience in HR advisory roles, excellent knowledge of employment law, and exceptional communication skills. A minimum of CIPD Level 5 qualification is required. The role includes various responsibilities such as maintaining compliance and training coordination, offering a collaborative and proactive environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an HR Advisor/Senior HR Advisor role.
  • Excellent knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience handling complex employee relations cases.
  • Excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
  • Experience using HR information systems.
  • Ability to work with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and timely advice to managers on HR policies and procedures.
  • Support and manage employee relations cases including sickness absence and disciplinary actions.
  • Attend and support formal meetings, hearings, and investigations.
  • Maintain up-to-date case notes and ensure documentation compliance.
  • Ensure HR processes comply with legal requirements.
  • Identify training needs through performance discussions.
  • Support recruitment campaigns including reviewing job descriptions and conducting interviews.
  • Oversee onboarding and induction processes.
