Job summary

A supportive community organization based in Leicester is looking for a Part Time Research Assistant to coordinate research and evaluation projects ensuring evidence-based services meet RAF community needs. Qualifications

£12.74 - £13.16 per hour, 22.5 hrs per week – Leicester based LE3 1UT with hybrid working.

About the role

This is an exciting time to join a small team that achieves big things! The Research Assistant will support the wider Research and Evaluation team with the coordination of research and evaluation processes and projects to ensure that the Association is delivering appropriate evidence‑based welfare services that meet the needs of the RAF community.

  • Assist the team with the general administration of evaluation projects and processes.
  • Manage the data entry process across a range of large‑scale surveys and projects.
  • Co‑ordinate the successful planning and delivery of the quarterly Research Advisory Group.
  • Maintain the research area of the intranet page/share point to keep it relevant, up to date and engaging.
  • Support data analysis.
  • Assist the Research and Evaluation Manager to draft briefings, literature reviews and research papers and reports.
  • Help plan, organise and deliver research activities such as focus groups, interviews and the annual Research Symposium.
About you

A degree is not essential, but an academic background is a great starting point. You need experience of research, analysing data and writing reports that communicate clear, engaging and impactful information for diverse audiences. The ideal colleague is a confident self‑starter with initiative, able to engage in multiple projects. A high level of IT proficiency is required across the Microsoft Office Suite, along with experience using databases such as Salesforce. We will support your learning and training on the job. We prefer the hours to be worked over 3 days, but offer flexibility. Hybrid working is expected, with a minimum of 2 days per week on site.
