Health Visitor – 0‑19+ Service, Wirral Community Health & Care NHS Foundation Trust

Role Overview

As a Health Visitor you will work as part of an integrated 0‑19+ Team to deliver the Healthy Child Programme and support public health activities across your geographical area, engaging with individuals, families and communities.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver the Healthy Child Programme and support full delivery of services for universal partnership plus families.
  • Manage a caseload of families, ensuring holistic, person‑centred care.
  • Participate in a range of public health activities (individual, group and community based).
  • Collaborate with safeguarding partners and other agencies to protect children and families.
  • Apply knowledge of Clinical Governance, Risk Management, audits and professional codes.
  • Support service development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to be approachable, compassionate and adaptable.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a solution‑focused, reliable approach.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, clinical governance and relevant professional codes.

Employment Terms

Salary in line with NHS national terms and conditions; part‑time salaries are pro‑rated. Flexible working is supported. Staff on the Trust’s redeployment register receive priority access to vacancies.
