This is a Part Time Opportunity

In Barnsley, we are dedicated to ensuring that our Care Leavers have a voice, meaningful opportunities to express their views and influence decisions that affect them.

By working collaboratively with care-experienced young people and professionals, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the scope, purpose, and membership of our Care Leavers Council. Your leadership will be essential in guiding the next steps for this important group.

You will contribute to the ongoing development of our workforce by undertaking targeted projects with various teams. These efforts will help us integrate key practices across our services.

Responsibilities

We seek a unique and passionate individual for this exciting opportunity. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A qualification and relevant experience in social work
  • The ability to work independently, with experience in project or service development leadership
  • Strong skills in engaging and advocating for young people, utilising creative and innovative approaches
  • A passion for learning and development
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
Qualifications
  • Office Use: 000A 5CC3 / 1
