The role

As a Paraplanner you will have the opportunity to provide a more holistic financial planning solution, with access to a hub of knowledge, built up by the firms’ Partners who between them have over 50 years’ experience. You’ll support the Financial Planners in a variety of ways, ensuring a fully compliant service and excellent client experience is maintained at all times, with a view to developing your industry knowledge and experience of presenting research to clients.

Responsibilities
  • Full analysis of clients’ requirements, development of cash flow models and accurate recording of client data.
  • Construction of financial planning solutions (investment, retirement, long term care planning, tax and IHT planning) supported by the production of computer models and reports.
  • Preparation of letters and reports (liaising with administrators), taking full responsibility for the client files and back office IT records throughout the advice process.
  • Preparation of client reviews, updating cash flow models, investment performance reviews and production of supporting reports, discussion documents and computer models.
  • Servicing client’s day to day needs, liaison by telephone, letter, email and attending meetings, including presenting solutions and recommendations.
  • Working with colleagues within the Financial Planning team to ensure application and provider forms are prepared as required and clients are updated throughout the process.
  • Working with other professional advisers e.g. Solicitors and Accountants to implement an agreed action plan.
Requirements
  • Chartered Financial Planner status – preferable or willingness to work towards.
  • A minimum of a Diploma in Financial Planning and a requirement to keep abreast of compliance and regulatory changes.
  • Four years industry experience – preferable.
  • Excellent administrative, research, report writing and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a preference for working in a structured, planned manner.
  • Ongoing self-development to maintain appropriate level of CPD for role.
