Overview

Oakley Recruitment is working in partnership with an expanding organisation based in Warwick. This is an excellent opportunity to join the team as a Paraplanner on a full-time permanent basis.

Job Role
  • Working with the Financial Planner to discuss client objectives, identifying and where required, assist the Financial Services Administrators in obtaining information necessary to compile a comprehensive financial suitability report
  • Assisting in identifying areas for planning and sourcing solutions suitable to meet the client's needs and objectives
  • Assisting in the preparation of tax calculations where necessary
  • Ensuring information collected and collated about (and from) the client is in accordance with the principles of know your client and company policy
  • Ensuring all of the required compliance documentation is present and correct at time of presenting suitability report and recommendation
  • Preparing suitability reports and recommendations for approval by the Financial Planner, preparing associated accompanying documentation for client to sign
  • Ensuring client declaration and signed authorisation is on any advice piece before anything transactional occurs
  • Conducting fund research and analysis using FE Analytics in support of Financial Planner recommendations as well as other software systems such as Selectapension for pension switch business, Conquest for Cashflow reporting producing comprehensive cashflow reports for relevant clients and reviews (software systems available as at 2025)
  • Ensuring suitability report templates updated and compliant with regulatory/tax year change
  • Maintaining a suitability reports template library for use across the hub
  • Collating and maintaining up to date Due Diligence research on funds, providers, platforms
  • Preparing monthly Cumulative return tables and communicating these effectively to the Financial Planners, Team Leaders
Skills and experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a Paraplanning role at an IFA firm
