A regional healthcare provider in England is seeking a Nurse or Paramedic Non-Medical Prescriber to autonomously assess and treat patients, manage day-to-day operations of the Urgent Care Treatment Centre, and support junior staff. The role offers training and covers medical indemnity. Ideal candidates will have a non-medical prescribing qualification and experience in urgent care settings.
The role of the Nurse or Paramedic Non-Medical Prescriber involves the assessment, treatment, and discharge of both scheduled and unscheduled urgent cases across all age groups. The post holder will utilize their non-medical prescribing qualification to support patient care in accordance with the local formulary. As senior clinicians, they will also assist staff authorized to issue medications via PGD with their prescribing decisions.
The post holder will oversee the daily operations of the Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) and, in the absence of the operations manager, will manage general inquiries, staffing issues, complaints, and support junior staff as needed.
You will be supported by a friendly clinical and administrative team. Induction and training will be provided, and SWASFT will cover your medical indemnity. This role is evolving within the Trust and may change to meet organizational needs.
